The 2009 Nissan 370Z

The 2009 Nissan 370Z
If you want to start thinking about a car to look at in time for the year-end clearances, keep this one in mind. This is almost a retro-style car – if you remember the 70’s, or you’ve at least heard of them, you’ll recognize the styling cues.
It has a 3.7 liter engine, makes 332 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque…comes with your choice of a 7 speed automatic or 6 speed manual and gets a ‘kind of respectable’ 26 mpg on the highway. It was priced at around $30,000 new so you might be able to get a nice price now.

Ok it is a restyled Z. But the guy said in the intro of this video it’s like the 270 z, which was a big deal for datsun. And it’s 50% 350 and 50% 270 . They wanted it to be more of a roadster, which it is now and also the 370 has a wish bone suspension which it’s restyled 350 z didn’t have . And it’s not a muscle cow car because it lighter too.

It’s a restyled 350z.

Yeah the head lights are better on the 350 Z but this 370 Z copies the 240 Z and the 350 is more of a 300ZX type. But when the first 350 Z came in 2003 it was not as well done as the 2007 or 2008 version of it, so maybe they’ll fix the lights in future models.

I don’t like the headlights or taillights that are on the 370Z. In that sense, the 350Z is better. I’d still pick a 350Z really, but then it is what I have wanted for awhile. lol

There is probably going to be several versions of the 370z. The 370z nismo is already faster than the base.
There has also been talk of a v8 and TT. It will be interesting to see what they do next in raising the performance level.

Believe it or not the 370z is a more reliable car than a Porsche. My brother in law had a Porsche 911, it was an amazing machine for driving but it had problems and its hard and very very expensive to fix. The 370z is easier to fix and honestly I think iy’s a more reliable car than a Porsche, many people don’t know but Porsche are not as reliable.

The 370Z goes from 0-60 in 4.7 seconds, has 330 hp, 280 lb-ft of torque, and looks great to boot. I’d like to see some wannabe Boxster compete with those specs despite that the Boxster’s base price is more than a Grand Touring 370Z’s with options included. The price is low because of value, not quality.
