New 2010 Mercedes SLS – New Model Review

2010 Mercedes SLS AMG Unveiled At 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show

“Here’s the 2010 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG. We’ve driven it, savored the uncommonly sharp throttle response from the 6.2-liter V8 (563 hp, 479 lb-ft of torque) and marveled over the handling of this car – which is more direct and communicative than any other Benz in recent memory.”

For all those guys who say that this looks like an SLR. THIS is one completely new developed car and therefore includes platform and engine. The SLR was a strange co-production between Mercedes and the British McLaren. The SLS is from the German AMG-company only.

    Wow…!!!!!!

  4. Looks too much like an SLR…

  5. At first it looks ugly, but it grows on you.

  6. It brings back the: ” Damn, you drive a Mercedes!?” In a good way.

  7. Good car, but way too overpriced, drop maybe $100k then you can consider it…

  8. For $258,000 it better take you back to 1955 when you hit 88 mph.

  9. Yea agree, or a sequential manual at least.

  10. How do you make it a roadster? It will have to take away the gull wings.

It kinda looks like a classic mercedes, but I really don’t like the steering wheel buttons.

That’s why the zr1 only costs 110 grand. Its cheap.

  14. What a shame about it being an auto, leave the idiot boxes for the elderly. This one needs a stick shift.

  15. Yeah but when car companies try to repeat history with their cars they don’t turn out as successful as they did with their original model, except with the new zr1. The zr1 is a bigger success than the original zr1 but with most other car companies, repeating history when making a new car won’t turn out that successful.

  16. That looks awesome inside and out. I’d buy it if I could.

I thought the back kind of looks like the lexus sc when I first looked at it. I wonder how are they going to do the doors for the roadster?
