The Cadillac CTS-V Wagon

Take a Dodge Magnum SRT-8, make it do everything better and go faster, and you’d have something like the 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Sport Wagon. The Cadillac CTS Sport Wagon features the same 556-horsepower engine and performance-focused features as its CTS-V sedan and coupe counterparts, all wrapped up in a more practical package. Ya… good luck convincing anyone you bought it for the luggage space!

• Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 rear lower control arm
• Unique 19-inch wheels and Pirelli performance tires
• Ford Mustang GT front and rear brake calipers with Performance pads
• A strut tower brace for increased body rigidity
• Unique electronic stability control calibration with Sport mode
• Unique badging

The 2011 Ford Mustang V6 Performance Package will be available beginning late summer 2010, built at the Auto Alliance International Plant in Flat Rock, Mich. The new 3.7-liter V6 will be built at Ford’s retooled Cleveland Engine Plant No. 1. Ahh, the Cleveland!

2009 Jaguar XFR Preview

It doesn’t really look like a ‘made by Jaguar’ car, but it’s a good looking and muscular performance sedan with a supercharged V8 that makes 510 horsepower and does the 0 – 60 run in 4.7 seconds. Jaguar claims it will beat anything in its class… it might be able to take ‘em in the playground after class, too!

The New C63 AMG Mercedes Sport Sedan

This new sedan from Mercedes is part of their ‘entry level’ C-Class, but it doesn’t appear to drive like a starter car! It has a 6.3 liter engine and 7 speed automatic with paddle shifters, makes 451 hp and does 0 to 60 in about 4.5 seconds. The steering, suspension, brakes and performance all compliment each other and it’s equally happy to get you around town or around the track.

The 2009 Cadillac CTS-V Performance Sedan

Kelley Blue Book testers recently had the opportunity to test drive the Cadillac CTS-V. In many ways it’s the same car as the ‘ordinary’ CTS luxury sedan. Other than having a slightly firmer ride, this car could be mistaken for the standard CTS. However, that confusion ends the minute you accelerate, turn or brake! Introduced in 1989, Taurus SHO was conceived as a discreet performance-oriented sports sedan, ideally suited to the automotive enthusiast needing the room and capability of a four-door full-size car. Produced through 1999, more than 100,000 were sold. The original Taurus SHO generated a loyal following of owners and enthusiasts, with an active club more than 1,000 members strong, an online forum with more than 10,000 registered users and a Web site (bringbackthesho.com) specifically devoted to convincing Ford to resurrect the SHO.

The 2010 Taurus product development team spent significant time listening to SHO enthusiasts. The foundation of the new 2010 Taurus SHO is a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged EcoBoost V-6 engine. This advanced powerplant generates an estimated 365 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and 350 ft.-lbs. of torque at 3,500 rpm, resulting in significantly improved power, torque and fuel economy compared with larger, normally aspirated engines. This also is Ford’s most powerful EcoBoost engine.
