How Do You Stop Your Car If Your Accelerator Sticks?

Last month, Toyota issued a massive recall of nearly 4 million Toyota and Lexus vehicles. The recall is intended to fix a very dangerous defect which can lead to unintended acceleration of the vehicle. Initially thought to be an issue with the floor mats interfering with the gas pedal, the real problem involves the cars’ electronic throttle system.

So, what should your response be if your accelerator sticks? Watch this video to find out, it could be a very important safety lesson!

Audi didn’t have the same problem!! Those claims against Audi were all found to be false and created by scam artists trying to get money, and ruin Audi’s reputation! Those people who claimed their audi had a problem, drilled into the transmission and altered it from factory! Toyota ACTUALLY has a problem.

I think everyone should have to go through a test like this before buying their car and if they don’t pass they can’t drive it. People think that by buying a safe car it excuses them from learning how to drive the thing.

The lesson is ‘drive german cars’… that’s not realistic… if they have problem, they need more safe-systems :) Anyway, I prefer Toyota and they are more reliable

Lesson is don’t forget Audi had the same problem a few decades ago. All the electronics can have a glitch my ford did. British cars are shop queens. Jaguar and Range Rover are shit. SAAB are also shop queens. Ask any mechanic and the answer is Toyota and Honda. Now with this i guess Honda is KING!!

German cars – prestige, strong build, expensive maintenance
European cars – luxury, strong build, expensive maintenance
Japan cars – high tech, medium build, average maintenance
British cars – low tech, medium, average maintenance
American cars – low tech, medium build, high maintenance
Korean cars – low tech, weak build, high maintenance

  10. I certainly think that any company should be at fault for creating this kind of situation for drivers in the first place. it’s very disappointing to see that they have to work so hard to fix their problems instead of preventing them.

Whats with the claim of american made cars being defective..which ones are defective? Do they actually have any major and widespread defects? On a side note, keep in mind toyotas are the ones with defects that are pretty dangerous.

Anyone with a cerebral? and common sense will know just how the media has
blown this way beyond proportion. Pure corporate sabotage at its best.
It’s a witch hunt to the max that will benefit the government, media,
and government motors. It will hurt taxpayers and good foreign companies.
Did i mention Toyota America employs over 200,000 yanks with tons of generous
fringe benefits and insurance policies? No? Oh well. You’ll pay GM with ur tax

  14. I drive a chevy but I know you can put any car in neutral if something like that happens. duh.
